Ayurveda & Massage
A spa massage usually focuses on relaxation in the moment, which is great if that’s what you
need, but it tends to run on a fixed script. Sessions at Nurture start with a real conversation about what’s going on, then adapt to the body that walks in that day, with Sheri shifting pressure, modality, and focus as the work unfolds. Ayurvedic sessions go a step further: they use warm oil, longer rhythmic strokes, and the framework of dosha balance to address patterns under the surface rather than just the surface tension. The primer post on Ayurvedic massage goes deeper if you want the full background.
Bodywork can support clients dealing with all three, and Sheri sees those issues every week. That said, massage isn’t a replacement for medical care, and the intake conversation at the start of your first appointment is where Sheri helps figure out whether Nurture’s approach is a fit for your situation, and what you should expect if it is.
