Abhyanga Ayurvedic Massage

Abhyanga—often called Ayurvedic oil massage—is a deeply rejuvenating therapy designed to detoxify and nourish your body while bringing balance to your mind and spirit. During this warm oil treatment, a generous amount of herb-infused oil tailored to your dosha is rhythmically massaged over your skin, helping release toxins, calm the nervous system, boost circulation, and support your body’s natural healing processes. After just one session, you’ll feel grounded, relaxed, and revitalized.

What is Abhyanga Massage?

Over the course of your 90-minute session, this full-body Ayurvedic oil massage envelops you in warm, herb-infused oil applied from head to toe. The dosha-specific oils penetrate deeply into your tissues, encouraging detoxification, lubricating the joints, and nourishing the skin.

 

Your practitioner begins with gentle, flowing strokes to open the channels of circulation before using friction techniques on key joints to enhance absorption. Lymphatic-drainage movements and targeted kneading help move toxins out and leave you feeling light, clear, and energized. Every motion follows Ayurvedic principles to balance Vata, Pitta, and Kapha for optimal wellness.
